About Jayita Oil

Our Story

Established in 2024 by a dedicated team of entrepreneurs, Jayita Oil has been a pioneer in the edible oil industry, committed to providing pure and natural oils to consumers. With decades of experience and expertise, we have perfected the art of oil extraction and processing.

Our journey began with a small oil mill and has grown into a modern manufacturing facility that combines traditional wisdom with cutting-edge technology to produce the finest quality edible oils.

Jayita Group has been inspired by our old ancient Indian practice of eating pure and natural foods, using natural oil, Ghee, Butter and spices found in various seeds, flowers and tree bark. The company believes that the Strength comes from the power and efficacy comes from the traditional method to offer refined products for the modern population.

Initially created by two visionary entrepreneurs, Mr. Sovon Sarkar and Mr. Debdutta Chowdhury, subsequently Mr Koushik Sardar an eminent Entrepreneur and Mr Kutubuddin Mondal a renowned Lawyer joined hands with their ideas to expand our vision.

Mustard Oil in West Bengal: A Cultural Heritage

Cultural Significance

Mustard oil has been the soul of Bengali cuisine for centuries. Its distinctive pungent aroma and flavor are integral to traditional dishes like shorshe ilish (hilsa fish in mustard sauce) and various pickles.

In Bengali households, mustard oil is not just a cooking medium but a cultural symbol that connects generations through traditional recipes and cooking methods.

Historical Significance

West Bengal is not a major producer of mustard seeds but is a major consumer of mustard oil. The state's cuisine and cultural preferences drive strong demand throughout the year.

Demand spikes during Durga Puja and other Bengali festivals, which impacts local prices and distribution patterns across Eastern India.
